Streams in the Desert
Streams in the Desert - Julie Dunstan 2 February 2023
As part of the Spiritual Direction Forum UK’s ‘encouraging the creative development of this ministry within the church and in a changing world’, we offer this evening of reflection with Julie Leger Dunstan.
To reach out to both the church and the world in these changing times, we need to offer a robust spirituality, able to stand up to the big questions of our time. To do this, we need to be both radical and prophetic. To be radical is to be deeply rooted in soil that will nourish and thus able to bear the fruits of the Spirit. To be prophetic is to have the vision and the courage to speak and act into the world with God’s heart. In this session we will draw upon scripture, theology, poetry, and prayer to engage the prophetic imagination.
Julie Leger Dunstan is Founder and Director of Encounter, the London Centre’s Formation Programme for Spiritual Direction. She is an experienced psychotherapist, spiritual director, supervisor, trainer and lay minister. She is co-chair of the Spiritual Direction Forum UK.
